고려대학교 명예 교수로, 고려대학교에서 학사 학위, 센트럴 워싱턴 대학교에서 석사 학위, 오리건 대학교에서 박사 학위를 받고, 고려대학교에서 영문학과 극문학을 가르쳤다.
Oak Song, professor emeritus at Korea University, received her BA from Korea University, Master’s from Central Washington University and Ph.D from University of Oregon, and taught English and Dramatic Literature at Korea University.

2인 대화극으로 꾸며진 이 극의 형식을 굳이 따진다면, 일종의 광상극 형태로 볼 수 있는 공연 문학이라고 할 수 있을지. 엘리자베스 시대에는 연극을 보러 간다기보다는 “들으러 간다”라는 표현을 썼다. . . . . . . 리처드 3세와 맥베스, 그리고 리처드 3세와 오필리아, 이렇게 두 사람씩 쌍을 이루어 나누는 <셰익스피어의 그림자>의 각 장면의 대화를 듣는 가운데, 독자/관객께서 사유의 유희랄까, 일말의 지적인 운동의 파편을 즐길 수 있다면, 지은이는 이로써 만족한다. The play takes the form of duologue, and perhaps can be considered as a kind of “‘Extravaganza’ in the form of ‘Literature Through the Performance of Duologue for the Reader’s Theatre.’” In the Elizabethan era, people went to play not to watch it but to hear it. . . . . . . If the audience can enjoy something of what might be termed the play of thoughts, a kind of intellectual vortex, while listening to the dialogues of Richard III and Macbeth, of Richard and Ophelia in Shakespeare’s Shadow, I, as its author, will be content.
