유재성경희대학교 경제학과 미디어학부를 졸업하고 미국 텍사스주립대학교 오스틴캠퍼스에서 언론학 박사학위를 받았다. 현재 미국 위스콘신대학교 그린베이캠퍼스의 조교수로 재직하며 저널리즘과 디지털 미디어, 스포츠 커뮤니케이션과 가짜뉴스 분야에서 연구를 진행하고 있다. 주요 논문으로는 「Cross-national news narratives of the Paralympic Games: Computational text analysis of the media coverage in the United States and South Korea」, 「Fake news on you, Not me: The third-person effects of fake news in South Korea」 등이 있다. 대표작
