하늘샘런던신학교(London School of Theology)에서 신학 학사(B.A.)를, 고려신학대학원에서 목회학 석사(M.Div.) 학위를 취득한 후 고신 교단에서 목사 안수를 받았다. 이후 미국 미시간주 칼빈신학교(Calvin Theological Seminary)에서 장 칼뱅의 언약 교리 연구로 교회사 및 조직신학 박사(Ph.D.) 학위를 취득했다. 현재 칼빈신학교에서 역량 기반 신학교육(CBTE)과 평생교육을 총괄하는 소장으로 재직하고 있으며, 신학 연구 방법론, 교회사, 신학을 가르치고 있다. 또한 칼뱅 연구기관인 미터 센터에서 큐레이터를 맡고 있다. Religions, Journal of Reformed Theology, Church History and Religious Culture 등과 같은 해외 유수 저널에 여러 차례 논문을 출판했다. Calvin, Exile, and Religious Refugees (Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht), Purpose and Joy: Sustaining a Meaningful Career in Christian Higher Education (Abilene Christian University Press), John Calvin Today (Fortress Press), The Theological Librarian’s Handbook (Atla Open Press), Crafting the Reformed Tradition (Princeton Theological Monograph Series)와 같은 주요 도서에 공저자로 참여했다. 대표작
