최영준현재 고려대학교 행정학과 부교수로 재직 중이며 영국 옥스포드 대학교 전임강사 및 영국 바스 대학교 조교수를 역임하였다. 연구 분야는 복지국가론, 비교정책론, 그리고 노령화와 연금제도 등이다. Policy and Politics, Ageing and Society, International Journal of Social Welfare등을 비롯한 유럽, 미국, 중국, 한국, 일본에서 사회정책에 관련된 다양한 논문을 발표하였다. 최근 논문으로는 "Revisiting the Role of Bureaucrats in Pension Policy-making: The Case of South Korea. (Government and Opposition 2014)", "Feminisation of poverty in 12 welfare states: Consolidating cross-regime variations? (International Journal of Social Welfare 2013), "Farewell to old legacies?
