프랜시스 클루니(Francis Clooney, S.J.)하버드 대학교 신학대학 교수. 주요 연구 분야는 인도의 힌두 전통 중 산스크리트와 타밀 전통의 신학 주석서, 그리고 비교신학이다. <국제 힌두교-그리스도교 간 연구 협회(International Society for Hindu-Christian Studies)>의 초대 회장을 역임했고, 1998년에서 2004년까지 미국 예수회원을 위한 종교 간 대화의 책임자였다. Hindu God, Christian God(2001), Divine Mother, Blessed Mother(2005), Jesuit Postmodern:Scholarship, Vocation, and Identity in the 21st Century(2006), Beyond Compare:St. Francis de Sales and Sri Vedanta Desika on Loving Surrender to God(2008), The Truth, the Way, the Life: Christian Commentary on the Three Holy Mantras of the Srivaisnavas(2008)를 비롯, 다수의 저술과 논문을 썼다.
