| 소개 : | 1954년 미국 버지니아주 호프웰에서 태어났으며, 켄트 대학에서 문헌정보학을 공부했습니다. 그림책, 시, 단편 및 장편소설 등 다양한 장르를 아우르며 100여 권이 넘는 책을 썼습니다. 뉴베리 수상작인 『그리운 메이 아줌마』로 널리 알려졌지만 수많은 그림책을 발표한 작가이기도 합니다. 대표작으로는 브렌던 웬젤이 그림을 그린 『삶』, 세르지오 루치에르와 함께 작업한 『고맙다고 인사해요』가 있습니다. |

| 소개 : | 미국 캘리포니아 예술대학에서 애니메이션을 전공한 뒤 ‘세서미 워크숍’과 ‘픽사 애니메이션 스튜디오’에서 일했다. 지금은 그림책 일러스트레이터로, 애니메이터로 활동하고 있다. 《행복을 나르는 버스》로 칼데콧상, 뉴베리상, 코레타 스콧 킹상을 받았으며, 수많은 명작으로 다수의 문학상을 수상했다. 《정답이 있어야 할까?》, 《레오, 나의 유령 친구》, 《내 생일은 언제 와요?》, 《야호! 비다》 등 여러 그림책에 그림을 그렸다. |

About the Author
