소개 :	미국 인디애나주 볼 주립대학을 졸업하고, 1969년 만화가 탐라이언의 조수로 입문했다. 1978년 41개 신문에 <가필드>(Garfield)를 연재하기 시작했으며, 에미상 만화부문 최고 만화작가상을 3회 수상했다. 현재 전 세계 2,600여개 신문에 <가필드>(Garfield)를 연재 중이다.
