Terry Deary's Horrible Histories have stunned and amazed a whole generation of eager beavers who like their history with the nasty bits left in. Fabulously factual but with a sprinkling of gleeful gore, Deary has no fear of getting well and truly stuck in to the historical nastiness that more traditional historians avoid.
